Mike Kaye vs. Rob Flowers

This is a double game where each player plays both sides and the over-all winner is determined by adding the scores.  The same dice are used for the initial air raids and for all submarine attacks throughout the game.

Turn 2

Mike as IJN

USN Report: Mike goes 1 area with a CVL in Coral.  My Allies hit CPO with 3 CVs and Aleutians/Coral with 1 each.  I lose 1 CV.

Rob as IJN

IJN Report: I go one area, Mike hits SPO with all 5 CV against my two LBA and Soryu.  I sink 2 CV, but he sinks all three units in one round.  Even worse, the lone DeRuyter patroller in CPO gets a night action, SINKS the lone IJN patroller, and only gets disabled in return.  I'm now behind in bases, so try and take a little risk and save Yokasuka for T3 instead of converting Johnston Island.

Turn 3

Mike as IJN

USN Report: Mike converts Pearl, my LBA retreat after one round without doing any damage to his CVs that I can recall.

Rob as IJN

IJN Report: All 10 available CV steam to Hawaii, where the Allies save Pearl with one damaged LBA left, and having sunk 6 of the carriers!

Turn 4

Mike as IJN

USN Report: Given the failure to convert Pearl in the other game, I take a bit of a risk, and go for converting Indonesia.  Things start out well as Wasp makes her speed roll, making it 4 USN CVs plus Illustrious and Hermes vs. 4 LBA and the I-boat.  Mike's LBA shoot very well and hold the area.

Rob as IJN

IJN Report: After the failure to convert Pearl in the second game, and Indo in the first, the POC gap was going to widen to about 8 with Mike's IJN in a better position.  I resigned the match.
