Jim Eliason (IJN; Bid 1) vs. Rob Flowers (USN)

The Normal Turn One variant is in play.

Turn 1
Turn 2
Turn 3
Turn 4
Turn 5

Turn 1

USN Report: Nothing unusual, both sides relatively cautious

Turn 2

USN Report: Jim goes for 1 area when all three Allied LBA go to USM.  USN attack CPO (3 CV) and Indo (2 CV vs. the three Brits).  CPO is fairly successful for the USN.  Indo, the Allies down two LBA and damage the last for 3, as return fire.  Jim gets really lucky as Hermes and Indomitable fail to down the last LBA over two rounds.  Jim declines to invade Johnston Island, saving Yokasuka.

Turn 3

USN Report: Pearl converted with only CV without much effort, Allies manage to hit Marshalls to keep lanes open, but Jim has succeeded in converting most of the bases and running up the POC.  (He held Indo with 2 LBA)

Turn 4

USN Report: Allies desperately attack the CPO to keep the POC in check.  4 Allied CV take on an LBA and one each of 4, 3, and 2-banger.  Allies need at least one CV to survive to have a decent chance of breaking the perimeter next turn.  After two rounds, three Allied CVs are sunk, and the other is crippled, although Allies control the area.

Turn 5

USN Report: Vicky fails to take out a lone LBA in the Marshalls, and Jim locks up the game.
