IJN Report: In the Top 10, I am +27 against Ed Menzel after 3 turns.

IJN Report: I am +25 against Ed Menzel after 4 turns in the Top 10.

IJN Report: I am +29 against Ed after 5 in the Top 10.

IJN Report: I am +28 against Ed after 6 turns.

IJN Report: I am +18 against Ed after 7.
USN Report: Alan A & I finished T7 with his IJN at 18. T8 will probably be the mother of all battles in the JI for the game.

IJN Report: I confirm losing to Ed in the Top 10 by 1.5 POC.
USN Game Report: Alan has a slightly sub-par Pearl raid with 3 crippled BBs and one healthy BB escaping along with the 7th AF. Only Z shows up in the HI and both Brit BBs escape from Indo. On T2, Alan does a 2-area attack with the US fighting in the USM/Marshalls. Both sides lose 2 CVs with the Marshalls control broken but no US flag.
Alan gives up Indo on T3 but pushes hard in the CS & HI. It is a tough turn for me as I give up the CS, my 3 CVs can’t take the SPO against one LBA, the Hosho and the IB. Pearl falls after the Allied LBA gain an advantage but can’t hold it. Alan then pushes the envelope on T4 by going for the USM. My 2 LBA/2 CVs save the area and I gain flags in the SPO, Marshalls, CS & HI to help my situation. But bad shooting only sinks one IJN CV despite other nice opportunities. On T5 a marine is able to take Johnston Isl during the Night and the Marshalls bases flip to the US. Alan turns back my attempts to take Lae and the Philippines.
Turns 6 & 7 see the Allies advance across the board. The POC is at 18 with a 4.5 bid going into T8. It boils down to the big battle in the JI. The US gets incredibly lucky on rounds 2-4 getting Night against the flag all three rounds. Their BB superiority grinds down the IJN fleet taking out several IJN carriers in the process. In addition, the US out-shoots the IJN. The combination proves too much and the USN is able to easily win the remaining air battle & control the JI for a 1.5 POC win. The dice definitely were most unkind to Alan the last turn.
