IJN Report: Uneventful. Four damaged BBs and 7AF
got out of Pearl. Three US CVs showed up in HI and ran to Australia. POC +7.
IJN Report: The IJN attacked USM and HI strongly and sent four LBA to Indo. The USN responded by sending the fleet to HI. He got the pure night in a neutral sea but 30 shots sank only Shokaku while disabling Yokosuka and others. IJN shooting was slightly subpar--7 bonus and 12 nonbonus shots sinking a damaged BB and two CAs, but the I-boat sank Yorktown making the battle a surprising victory. Very outgunned in the air at that point, the IJN withdrew and was not pursued. 11AF sank Hiryu before going down in USM, and he lost three more patrolling ships to IJN LBA. Sasebo sneaked into the Philippines at night. The IJN had a solid perimeter plus USM, favorable attrition and +17 POC.
IJN Report: The big battle was in the USM where 8 IJN CVs sank all 5 US LBA while losing 4 CVs sunk and 3 disabled. Soryu sank 1Mar in NP and escaped. 2Mar took 4 damage from an LBA but the I-boat whiffed and it recaptured Midway. Two CAs sank the BB patrolling HI and one escaped. The IJN captured Samoa and 10 more POC to increase the lead to +27.
IJN Report: Turn 4 is nearly over. More good dice for the IJN. The USN disabled Sasebo in CS but lost Enterprise. They broke control of the Marshalls but lost Lexington. They seem likely to win the USM but the I-boat sank Hornet. Mar AF failed to hold CP against five CVs and Exeter went down in IN. The IJN is the underdog to control CS and/or USM but will max out at +29 POC even if both battles are lost.
USN Report: Our game has ended in a IJN win with +8 POC after the bid.
