IJN Report:
Versus Andy. all speed rolls
passed.
POC is at 19 for the IJN at the end of turn two.
IJN has taken, Singapore, Phil, Lae, Dutch Harbor.
Holds Indo, JI, Marianas, Marshalls, SP, CS, HI, CP
USN holds BB, IO, USM, AI.
USN Report: My match with Dan has just started T3. Dan has just sent out his T3 IJN patrollers (early 9/12 AM). Our game just recently started about 2+ weeks ago. We basically played during the weekdays (10 or so) as Dan was busy for 2 weekends and I for this past weekend. T2 was a very good one for the IJN as Dan seemed to hit just about everything while I whiffed on just about everything with the exception of the Yoko NLF in the CS. This would prevent the KO from happening and with a bid of 5 the USN was still in this game. Heck, Pearl had not even fallen. Given these conditions, I would not be in a position to concede the match.
I will hope that on our 3rd attempt on the TT, that Dan and I can actually finish a match on time to avoid this from happening in the future.
IJN Comments: As you can see from the board set up the US has only one functioning CV and one actual BB not trapped at Hawaii. The Saratoga and the three wrecked Pearl BB's are not in a position to attempt repairs this turn. Andy did not attempt patrols this turn . . . not an easy task with my strong position.
Basically if Andy doesn't place
all LBA in HI I'll raid it heavily but put two small CV each in CS and USM
(probably put one in each even if all six LBA go to HI to threaten the wrecked
ships (and especially US Mandate.)) Also want to force the Yorktown out to
sea so the I-Boat can get a shot -- not letting her sit in port.
My Mikuma is sunk (Andy sent the shots to my old home address, but I'm working
from - MY NEW HOME!!! {with my fiancee}so I didn't get the result.) I parked
my ships, then he sent me a message telling me she was sunk, so if she is
included on the map please correct this.
I don't want to cheat Andy, like last time, when he sent a message but left
off my only patroller in the Mariana's, causing one adjudicator to determine
that he had a 30% chance of winning when he in fact had less than that.
Sorry to rehash old wounds, but I don't want to feel shortchanged again.
GM Ruling: While the IJN looks like it's in a great position in this game, the game is not far along enough for the adjudication process. As a result and due to the delayed start which was caused by Dan's failure to complete earlier games in a timely fashion, the game is awarded to Andy.
